Enhancing user experience
Our team conducted an audit of the user journey through the website to the point of purchase. Using the data from Google analytics the team found that the abandonment rate for products was highest when the user visited the product pages specifically. This suggested that the product pages were not communicating the value to the customer and would need to be optimized for conversion. Bounce rates and session abandonment rates suggested that the site was hard to navigate.
The Rethink Science team built a new information architecture to make the site easier to navigate, redesigned product pages to include star ratings and clearer value messaging. Relevant experiments were developed.
Test, refine, and launch
Our team used the data from the analysis to develop a strategy and tactics custom designed to improve click through rates, web traffic volume, and conversion. We led their internal web development team through the process of implementation, providing biweekly strategic consultation and daily metrics reporting during the rollout.
THE RESULTS
In one week, the CTR for creative on Meta increased 130%, web traffic increased 26% and conversions increased 2,345.5%
Immediately after optimization of product pages and website structure, online store conversion rates increased 64% with a 5% increase in products being added to cart. This resulted in 237% increase in gross sales and 64% increase in total orders. Average order value also increased 94%. We attributed this increase to the users improved ability to navigate the site and find additional products that were of interest.
